About CAMP IT Conferences

Since 1984, CAMP IT Conferences has produced events designed to help IT professionals understand new technologies and make the critical, strategic and tactical decisions for their enterprises.

CAMP's speakers all have practical experience in their topic area, as well as excellent presentation skills. Over 32,000 enterprise IT executives, management and technical-staff representing over 5,500 individual organizations have been to CAMP.

This year, CAMP will host 21 enterprise IT conferences, all designed through the input of enterprise IT departments.

In its early years, CAMP ITŪ Conferences was called Chicago Association for Microcomputer Professionals (CAMP) by founder Julian Horwich. When CAMP began receiving national attention, it changed its name to Corporation Association for Microcomputer Professionals to reflect its enterprise focus.

In 2001, we abbreviated our name to CAMP ITŪ (a registered trademark of CAMP Conferences, Inc.) and are known nationally and internationally by this name.

100% of our attendees are from IT departments. And since our founding in 1984, over 32,000 CIOs, IT executives, managers, and staff, representing over 5,500 individual companies, government agencies, and educational institutions, have grown in their careers by participating in our one and two-day conferences.

We structure our conferences with a singular commitment to helping IT executives, management and staffs succeed in their respective careers. Our content is shaped to help attendees work through significant internal IT challenges from both business and technical perspectives, and at every conference, we feature speakers from IT departments sharing their personal insights and experiences.

As you will see in the information on this section of our site, our management team has extensive experience working for IT departments and IT suppliers, which distinguishes us from other conference organizations.

Please take a tour of this section of our site to learn more about CAMP IT. Click through these articles to see the significance of CAMP ITŪ in the IT industry over the last 30 years. These articles report on past CAMP events and quote our founder, Julian Horwich.

You will also read endorsements from industry luminaries such as Bill Gates, Jim Manzi, Philippe Kahn, and well-respected journalists Jim Seymour, Jim Louderback, Sam Whitmore, John Dodge, Spencer F. Katt, Stuart Johnston, Ed Scannell, Michael Fitzgerald, all of whom spoke at or attended CAMP events.

These articles and testimonials reflect not only the wide impact of CAMP ITŪ on the industry but also the career growth these and other professionals gained through CAMP ITŪ. Today, professionals continue to grow through these events.
