Jess Anspach received her Bachelor Degree from Penn State University. After beginning her career in teaching and coaching Jess switched paths to channel her competitive spirit into business. That path led to Cybersecurity, and it has been the perfect landing ground to challenge her every day. Jess serves as an Advisory Board Member on the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation (MCST) and volunteers for the Amercian Brain Tumor Association as well as RJH Memorial, Inc. At Wiz, her success has lead her to be awarded to the “Top Performers of 2021/2022”.

Byron oversees daily operations of Deft’s technical organization, bringing 20 years of IT experience spanning pharmaceutical, entertainment, healthcare, and finance. Outside of tech, he loves spending time with his family, running, and drumming.

Patrick Kinard, Senior Server Enterprise Operations Manager, Chicago Public Schools

 

Patrick Kinard is a Senior Server Enterprise Operations Manager at the Chicago Public Schools. He has more than 30 years of information technology management experience in the private and public sectors.

 

Today, Patrick has a senior role in managing the data service centers for one of the world’s third-largest school districts. He is responsible for all central data center, cloud, and on premise school-based server operations. 

 

Patrick’s previous experience is as an Associate Vice President at J.P Morgan Chase as the leader of the virtualization engineering group, managing technical staff and private cloud environments around the globe for five years. He also served as an engineering manager at HP directing teams that supported brands like General Motors, American Airlines, and BP. 

 

Committed to service and developing others, Patrick has more than 20 years of experience as an information technology instructor supporting underrepresented groups, which is easily one of the highlights of his career. He operates as a mentor and coach to some of Chicago’s most promising information technology students, leaders, and entrepreneurs. 

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University and has earned multiple information technology management certifications.

Vikas Shah, Vice President of IT, AArete

 

Vikas has 15+ years of experience in running IT operations, data center infrastructure management, and information security in public and private sectors. Currently, serving as a VP of IT at AArete with responsibility for IT operations, security, and strategy to setup AArete’s technology platforms that solve today’s issues and address future needs. He has strengths and experience in innovation, adaptability, and project management to implement IT solutions as well as fostering security and risk management program to meet the compliance and regulatory needs. Vikas envisions future of IT is to align with business strategy to enable growth.

Noam Shendar, VP Global Solution Architecture, Zadara

 

With more than 25 years in the technology industry, Noam is Zadara’s VP of Global Solution Architecture, having also served as COO and General Manager there. Prior to that, at LSI Corporation, he was Sr. Director of Business Planning and Product Management, after serving as the company’s Director of Corporate Strategy. Earlier positions include executive, marketing and engineering roles at Intel Corporation, MIPS Technologies, Inc., and iBlast, Inc., an entertainment technology startup. Noam has a B.Sc. (with Honors) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an Executive MBA from Santa Clara University.
