Bruce Gilpin has been developing business intelligence solutions for over 25 years. He has worked in a wide variety of industries including the oil and gas industry, education, financial services, manufacturing and logistics. During the course of those experiences, he has developed ODS and data lakes, data marts and data warehouses on database platforms ranging from Foxpro to Teradata. He was worked with tools ranging from COBOL to C# and reporting systems such as Easytriev+, Powerbuilder, SQL Server Reporting Services and Tableau.

Dr. Nelson is also faculty at the Illinois Institute of Technology and the Jack Welch Management Institute, where he focuses on marketing, strategy, innovation, technology, and the new economy. Volker Schulmeyer currently consults at EAdvisory. He is a leader for Global Business and Application Enterprise Architecture. Prior to Caterpillar, Volker was at PepsiCo Inc. He held various leadership roles in development, technology to leading SAP Architecture globally for PepsiCo.

Prior to PepsiCo Volker worked at Deloitte Consulting and SAP Americas Inc. His expertise is in manufacturing and materials management, but Volker quickly moved into SAP transformation leadership roles.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Physics from UI Champaign/Urbana, a Master’s Degree in Physics from UCSD and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Volker was born and lived in Germany until his late 20s when he moved to the US.

Himanshi Yadav, Research Data Scientist, The University of Chicago

Himanshi is a research data scientist at the Research Computing Center (RCC) with expertise in human-centered multimodal machine learning and robotics. She holds a master’s degree in robotics from Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to joining the RCC, she worked on affective computing specializing in speech and text, speaker diarization, deep brain stimulation for OCD and depression, and unsupervised clustering techniques for hyperspectral images. Her responsibilities at the RCC include providing computational solutions to faculty, post-docs, and doctoral candidates. She aspires to aid and conduct state-of-the-art research in machine learning and its applications and be a part of the AI revolution.
